Looking for a great excursion or itinerary of what to do while in port (on a Sunday, if that means anything)

Ages of kids are 5-13.

Some people in the group are not into touching/swimming with Stingrays.

Any ideas of what would make an awesome day would be appreciated!!!

Google Grand Cayman or get a guidebook....there are lots of things you can do...and most of them are easily done on your own. The trick is to find out WHAT interests you, and knowing HOW to do it! Excursions aren't generally needed on GC..they have a wonderful bus service! $2.50 pp for most spots along the route!

Pretty much the whole island is family-friendly, to be honest.

Seven Mile Beach is a great place to spend some time - Royal Palms is a nice beach club there. They have chairs, cabanas, bar, restaurant, and of course the Caribbean to swim in! Also on Seven Mile Beach is Calico Jacks at Public Beach - picnic tables in the sand, bar food, etc.

An excursion to Rum Point can be nice, too - you get to travel across the calm North Sound for lunch at the Rum Point club, which has a nice beach and offers some snorkel opportunities for those so inclined.

We too are not stingray people and so we booked a room at the new Margaritaville Beach Resort and it was wonderful!

We had to book the room to look like we were checking in the night before but I called and advised we wouldn’t be checking in until the following morning and had no issues.

The resort has multiple pools and a nice protected beach area which is great for smaller kids at the very start of 7 mile beach. Since your technically a guest, you can use the beach/pool towels at the resort and don’t have to worry about bringing those from the ship.

Public beach as recommended above is also a good and definitely affordable option and you can buy wristbands to play on the water inflatables for the kids.

Here’s a few pictures of both the Margaritaville Resort and of public beach
