kayaking in Ketchikan

There are independent kayak tours available in Ketchikan, but I would try and book them in advance. The tours are small so there might not be any availability by the time you get to the port.

We have booked a tour with Ketchikan Kayak Company and I know they only take six people per tour. One downside to booking with them is that they require a full payment when you make the reservation. There are going to be 6 ships in port the day that we are in Ketchikan so I wanted to book early to make sure it didn't sell out.

I realize that we may be kayaking in the rain, but they provide rain gear. We have not done this tour previously, but I am trusting that we will have fun based on all of the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. Here is a link to a video about their tour:

If this is your first visit to Ketchikan I would encourage you to consider doing a flight over Misty Fjords instead...it is simply spectacular!!
