missemo12345 Posted November 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2017 New to NCL how can you tell if the bed is by the balcony or by the toilet? Do I look at the cabin number or how the diagram shows it on the deck plan? Thank you
European_CruiseGirl Posted November 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2017 The bed is always at the curve. If the curve is on the deckplan for a cabin by the balcony then the bed is there. If closer to the bathroom the bed is there. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
missemo12345 Posted November 17, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted November 17, 2017 Cabin 11137 would this be a bed by the toilet?
norway olin Posted November 17, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2017 Cabin 11137 would this be a bed by the toilet? According to published deck plan, that one would be near balcony

SosaCruising Posted November 17, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 17, 2017 Cabin 11137 would this be a bed by the toilet? The deck plan shows with widest part of the cabin near the balcony. So the bed is by the balcony, not the toilet.
don't-use-real-name Posted November 17, 2017 #7 Share Posted November 17, 2017 With the curve the adjacent cabin will not be a mirror image. So the cabin above the illustration would have the bed closer to the balcony and perhaps be more desirable avoiding the proximity to the bath vanity shower toilet facilities***. Another advantage in both designs is the extra space between the bed and opposite wall of the cabin. Not having to side-step or walk sideways to get to the other end of the cabin. *** Note unless in a suite - all the plumbing fixtures are immediately accessible from the passageway outside your cabin door. Makes it real easy for the Ship's Maintenance people to service a problem without intruding into the cabin. The curve in the cabin creates the illusion of a bigger wider cabin when it and the adjacent cabin have the same amount of square footage of useable space. Perhaps a better arrangement than the straight (mirrored ?) walls of older designed ships
