Has anyone been on the Spirit since it was last refurbished in Jan.? If so, how was it?

Thanks!! :)

In the end, the Spirit was only in dry dock for a couple of days. They didn’t do much that was noticeable really. Just tidied it up a bit really.

Just got off the ship in August. Most carpets in the public areas have been replaced, new chairs in Galaxy of the Stars, Champagne Charlie's, Casino, Windows, Garden Room, Raffles and outside. I've cruised her twice, love this ship. Staff are really friendly and the ship is kept clean. Staterooms didn't really have any refresh done, might have had new carpet and beds, but they are still fine in my books. Beds are unbelievably comfy...

Thanks for the input everyone! This is our first cruise ever so we aren't sure what to expect but we are optimistic and excited for our trip!

Just off spirit Oct 1....public areas all look good....furnishings in rooms haven't been changed but soft goods seem to have been....beds were great with comfy pillows...any questions?

Couple questions actually!

- How was the vibe on the ship? Old, young? Couples? Families?

- How was the food and what was the best place to eat in your opinion?

-Where did you cruise to? We are doing the 10 Day Eastern Mediterranean cruise so any feedback on that would be helpful too.

thanks!!!

We got back about a month ago. The Spirit is the oldest ship and I see why NCL has it doing such Port intensive itineraries. We loved it. We did very little in the ship. We also found the clientele to be very international, there was a lot of smoking (again not abnormal with a lot of international clientele) so the entire pool area was filled with people smoking, but the staff kept ash trays clean. Most were adult couples (large age range) but there were a good number of families with young kids. Very few teenagers. We traveled the first week of Sept. But the ship was a bit of an old beauty and great for the itinerary. The food was very good, warm flavorful and nicely presented. My biggest challenge was we ate at port then we ate on the ship. I was very thankful for the ability to get a salad at the buffet. The cocktails were well made Lol

Just got off the Spirit last Thursday

Many couples 40-70+

Seemed like many adult family reunions

Lots of Europeans and Canadians

Buffet was ok for breakfast and lunch

Slow dinners in both MDR 2+hours

MDR food good but not memorable

Prime rib on the first night

Cagneys was good but don’t expect Ruth Chris , no tomahawk

Dress code not enforced

Blue lagoon hot wings were popular

Cruised to Livorno, Cagliari, Heraklion, Athens, Olympia, Santorini, Valletta, Messina, and Naples out of Civitavecchia.

Super itinerary and recommended, just use the ship as a floating hotel.

We did western Mediterranean...great itinerary really port intensive...seemed to mostly older crowd ..I would say 50s and above.....very few kids...ad stated by someone else food in dining room and buffet ok not memorable...pizza at buffet was awful in my opinion....loved the food at shogun...went twice...ship was beautiful and entertainment was great....service in MDR really hit or miss....actually only 1 night the service was very good but couldn't get the same servers again....

The Spirit on a Mediterranean cruise is the best, in my opinion. The tiered open decks on the back of the ship make pulling into port and leaving port the best seats on the ship! Sitting there, sipping on a alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink, thinking about the day ahead or the day just enjoyed is a wonderful experience.

The ship's front lounge is terrific.

The ship's size is terrific.

You're sure to have a great cruise!
