Momsgt Posted May 26, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2018 :confused:First cruise in Jan 2019 on Carnival Glory. We booked cabin 6363 . Is this a bad choice? I see it’s above the bar/ dance floor. Should we change to a different floor?
Rare Essiesmom Posted May 26, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2018 Dance floor? You are above the walkthrough for the casino, directly above slots. I would not worry about noise. To see your location, go to http://www.cruisedeckplans.com and use the 'drag-it-deck' feature. EM
leaveitallbehind Posted May 26, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2018 (edited) Here is a link to the deck plans. Essiesmom is correct - you are above the walkway through the casino, which is adjacent to a bar there. No identified dance floor anywhere that I can see. Noise should not be a problem. https://www.carnival.com/~/media/Images/Ships/GL/DeckPlans/carnival-glory-Deck-Plan-pdf.ashx Edited May 26, 2018 by leaveitallbehind
cruisinqt Posted May 26, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 26, 2018 It looks like you will be directly above Kaleidoscope blvd next to the Kaleidoscope bar. And yes, that’s a bar with an open area next to it. The slot machine sounds probably won’t be a problem since they’re across the way, unless you’re a really, really light sleeper. The only problem I see is that sometimes they have bands playing loud music just outside the casino in that bar area. Its supposed to be a walk through/walk way but people mill around, drink at the bar, and dance to the music. If you go to bed late then it won’t be an issue, they stop playing by midnight. But if you like to go to bed early or have an early port arrival, then it may be a problem. When I’m on vacation I like to stay up late, past my normal bed time, so it wouldn’t be a problem for me. So I guess it’s up to you as to whether you need to move to a different cabin.
