We're arriving in Barcelona on July 18, and have set up a 2hr-walking tour (price 185 euros) for 2pm that day -- see urbancultours.com. If interested in joining us, let me know here at CC or on-board Sirena between Lisbon and Barcelona -- we're in cabin 7104.

1- Walking tour along the streets of the Old Jewish quarter from the Middle Ages.

My explanations will literallly help you "read" small signs on buildings to understand what is not obvious.

We will revisit our past as we visit one of these sites:

* a small cellar space called Major Synagogue, though it is not its location from the Middle Ages,

(closes Saturday)

* a small Museum of the History of the Jews in Barcelona (open Wed. & Fri. to Sun.),

and we will also see, among others:

* where the Inquisition used to function,

* optional stop at Call Barcelona wines & books, with souvenirs, judaica and music by local artists,

* other elements on the way, review documents, etc.

When you post it in the Roll Call, there will be a discussion of how blazing hot it will be at 2:00 pm in July in Barcelona! I remember when the entire City shut down for Seista that time of day and nothing was open!
