LongTimeTvlr Posted December 29, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 29, 2010 Based on the name of your thread, I thought Texas Holdem was a peculiar way you held the dance hosts. Being from Texas, if that would have been the case I don't imagine they would have enjoyed it.

I first read this post and pictured dropping the Mrs. off in the ballroom with the hosts while I headed over to the casino for the night. That wouldn't work out all that well for me. I don't imagine that the sofa in the stateroom is all that comfortable to sleep on for the remainder of the cruise.

Or the other risk of couse is that Mrs. Q would find the hosts a preferable alternative.
Q-step Posted January 4, 2011 #8 Share Posted January 4, 2011 Or the other risk of couse is that Mrs. Q would find the hosts a preferable alternative. Good point. Back in our dance competition days I'm sure there were practice sessions when she would have preferred to dance with anyone but me. Less so now that we just social dance. Dancer Bob Posted January 5, 2011 #9 Share Posted January 5, 2011 The OP didn't specify International or American, so the answer about dance hosts is "maybe". The British ones are usually fairly competent, Bronze level or better. The American ones can usually do a bit of American Social, but not any International style.
