St. Thomas on Christmas Day

Found out a few days ago that our ship will be docking in St. Thomas rather than St. Kitts on Christmas Day. Is it really $10 per person one way to the closest beach? It doesn't look far.

Will the Safari Bus be running?

The closest beach from where? There are 2 docks, and the closest beaches are either $4 or $6 per person each way depending on which dock. However, the closest beaches are seldom the most often recommended beaches on cruisecritic. Sapphire Beach is and the taxi fare is $10 per person each way from Havensight Dock and more from Crown Bay Dock.

I forgot to say. We'll be on Royal Caribbean, so apparently it will be Crown Bay.

Megan's Bay is open on Christmas Day ... if that's of any help to you.

You should go to Lindbergh Beach (possibly called Emerald Beach now). From what I hear, it's the closest to the Crown port. It's a small but nice beach.
