sweetred61 Posted July 17, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2018 Hi all we are flying from Shanghai to Perth Feb 2019 has anyone got any suggestions or experience with any particular Airlines. Thanks Sharon
The_Big_M Posted July 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2018 As it's Shanghai your likely choices are Qantas or China Eastern. Go with Qantas over the Chinese airlines. The price isn't usually much different; sometimes the same, but the onboard experience is better. Oh, and the food edible! Fortunately for you you're travelling low season so pricing will be better. Rare MicCanberra Posted July 17, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 17, 2018 Check one of the Compare sites but my pick would be Qantas or Cathay pacific. around $700.
Obilix Posted July 17, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2018 Or Singapore airlines, with a stopover in Singapore. There are worse places to transit or stopover than Singapore.

woodyren Posted July 18, 2018 #8 Share Posted July 18, 2018 A quick look on SS shows no direct flights. Is that correct? Qantas is cheapest in the 6 or 7 random days I checked for Feb once you take Air Asia out of the equation due to it's terribly long layover in KL and it's zero included baggage. I'm seeing around $580-$600 depending on who you book with. Qantas uses China Eastern metal to Singapore by the looks.

We have decided on Qantas with a 4hour stopover in Sydney. Some of their flights use China Eastern but ours is Qantas for both flights. They weren’t the cheapest by a long shot,I guess that’s why.
