Places where children can not be

I think the piano bar may discourage children at some point each evening, though I don't know the time or whether it's enforced.

For the most part Carnival is extremely family friendly.

If there are certain areas you are questioning you might get more specific replies.

It depends on the ship and the piano player I think. On one ship (I wanna say it was the Freedom, but I can't swear to it right now) my son (who was 11 at the time) was allowed into the piano bar for a short while in the evening but after about a half an hour or so (which was really all he could stand, sensory wise anyway) was kicked out. That was the only ship where he's been allowed past the door...all other ships we've tried to take him into when he asked to go in we were told to get out. He also once asked me if we could go dance in one of the clubs because they were having a Michael Jackson hour or night or something and he wanted to go dance since he loves Michael Jackson. I didn't know at the time (it was like our first or second cruise) that under 21s weren't allowed in the clubs and the staff member standing at the door (guard? IDK) glared at us, crossed his arms over his chest and shook his head. He was a tall, burly guy and I was like, "Oooh ok. SORRY!" before I turned and almost ran (the dude seriously scared me with his mean look LOL) away.

Check the Fun Times. It will clearly state age limits if there are any.

I don't know about the dance clubs/discos, but they definitely enforced the over-18 for the adult comedy shows. There was someone going around scanning Sign&Sail cards of anyone who looked too young to be there, and he actually kicked a few out.

I know that you have to be 21 and older for Serenity and 18 and over for the Adult comedy shows, we will have our 6 year old grandson with us and are there any other places that he will not be permitted with us? lounges, etc.
