Independence upgrades

We sail in two weeks and can anyone recommend any up grades ,tips or purchases that would make my wife's first cruise special

Make sure to see the ice show.

We did an owners suite on the Independence recently. My wife really liked the room. If that's a possible upgrade, I'd consider it. On the free side...I really enjoyed Grease.

Get to Grease early if you're going. It was pretty filled in when we got there 30-40 minutes before the start. Go to the trivia that they offer and join other people if you can. Many of the times we played with another couple or other people. One, it gives you a better chance, and two, you get to meet other people! If you do the ice show, watch for when they hand out tickets. They did that a day or two before the ice shows. And they do run out.
