Which way to go? To Notre Dame de Lourdes (Church) or Baie de JINEK:

The rickety steps :p (When we where their in July 2009, the steps had a bit of a lean to them (I think it was to the left coming down), I would suggest taking it slow and they are slippery.)

What underwater camera do you use Kiwi Cruiser? It takes wonderful photos.

Jillybean:)

All the photos from the island and underwater photos were taken with a FujiFilm FinePix A820 Digital camera with a underwater housing (& we had the underwater housing on for the whole time we where at Lifou).

Hi Stu

We are going to Lifou in November. Thanks so much for the fantastic photos, they are great.

Sure hope we get visibility underwater as good as that when we are there.

Thanks again

Lesley :)

I have yet to go there, But one day I may make it their. :)

or Isle of Pines?

I have photos of Isle of Pines back in 2006 from our very first cruse (never made it their back in July 2009 due to the swain flu worry.), if I get the time, I will dig some photos up & post them in the forum.

Keep an eye out for them.

We are from the US and we are doing this cruise in Sept. 2011...did you bring your own snorkle equipment?? Or rent on the island?

You will need your own snorkle equipment, however some cruise ships do have hire facilities available, so it depends on which cruise line you are booked on. There are no hire facilities available on the Islands to my knowledge. Hope that helps.
