You're in for a delightful treat when it comes to the food aboard the Carnival fleet! I've never had anything that I didn't like...well, except for the escargot! Here's some that I highly recommend trying: Appetizers: West Indian Roasted Pumpkin Soup (Delicious!) Shrimp Cocktail Southwestern Egg Roll Brocolli Soup Entrees: Filet Mignon Sweet & Sour Shrimps Chateaubriand Prime Rib Lobster Tail Baby Back Ribs Desserts: GRAND MARNIER SOUFFLE (the best!) Baked Alaska Creme Brulee Warm Chocolate Melting Cake :cool:Bill

minncruisers Posted September 10, 2009 #9 Share Posted September 10, 2009 Thank you so much for the pictures. It gives me great ideas on new foods to try next time. Oooh, food porn! ROFL!! I've been ooing and ahhing over all the food pictures, just short of drooling on my keyboard. And the term "food porn" totally describes it for me tonight because my husband keeps commenting on my noises.:p

jordanaire Posted September 11, 2009 Author #11 Share Posted September 11, 2009  Hahaha! Well I have to tell you, I'm a complete foodie. Those pictures and raving reviews of Carnival food vs. RCI's food has made me determined to try Carnival next time we cruise! We've tried both RCL and Carnival's food and we really prefer Carnival's better! Everything we had on RCL was not quite as warm or hot, especially the Creme Brulee! Ice cold! As was the souflees! In fact, the only time I've ever sent anything back to the kitchen was my Prime Rib on Adventure of the Seas. It was cold and raw! YUCK! I've NEVER had a bad meal on Carnival ships! KCMarie Posted September 13, 2009 #12 Share Posted September 13, 2009 Thanks for the wonderful pictures! I can hardly wait, 48 days til sailing. I have sailed Carnival once before and my favorites were the West Indian Pumpkin soup and the Mushroom soup. The pizza we tried was the one with goat cheese and mushrooms, De Chevre I think it was called. A real treat at 11 at night before catching a late show. Thanks again! Lobster Duck Lamb Warm melting chocolate cake My only suggestion is they can work on their side selections a bit more. More veggies! So I have less guilt :p

UrAStar Posted October 22, 2009 #22 Share Posted October 22, 2009 YAY! Those look sooooo delicious! This is my first cruise and my boyfriend is a picky eater (for medical reasons) so I was really worried, but I'm not to worried....or maybe I'm just entranced by the food porn. :p Thank you for the head's up on what to expect! redsoxgrlt Posted October 23, 2009 #23 Share Posted October 23, 2009 UrAStar, no need to be worried! The wait people are VERY accomodating, and if you explain your dietary needs, they will go out of their way to help you. I once saw at a table next to me a guy who only wanted a plate of spaghetti with tomato sauce every night for dinner. Seemed like an odd request, but guess what the waiter brought him EVERY night for dinner:confused: And something tells me he wasn't the only person on the ship to make a special request. Couldn't hurt to throw them an extra tip at the end either, if they go out of their way.:)
