I am always amazed when I see one of these large cruise ships in drydock, just how little is below the waterline compared to the huge superstructure above. Of course the weight of fuel, supplies, and engines help to compensate for the weight of all the cabins and public rooms above the waterline.:cool:

I didn't stick around to catch everything. I took those photos in two seperate session.

 

However, last time I stayed around for the Carnival Spirit and it took only a few hours to get her hauled up in the air after they got her into the dock.
