Mariner - Promenade Stateroom

We are planning on booking a Promenade stateroom on deck 8 on the Mariner, but are wondering if noise will be a problem?

We know the parade and special stuff will happen on the Royal Promenade, but will we experience noise during waking hrs when no events is going on because of the Royal Promenade?

Will events like the parade be visible from deck 8 cabins? Do they broadcast the PA in these Promenade staterooms so we can watch from the window?

Deck 8 is rather high for viewing the parades and activities on the Royal Promenade. I booked my grandsons into a PR on deck 7 and it was perfect. No noise other than when the parade is happening, and you have the perfect view from the window.

We were in deck 7 Promenade cabins as well. We were never awakened by any noise on the Promenade.

I'd have to agree...7 is best for viewing, 6 might have noise depending on what you are over, and 8 had no noise, but not the best for viewing (the windows do slant down a bit, though) :)

We had 8301 and 8303 in March, and heard no noise at all. It was good for watching but

I can see how Deck 7 would be a little better.

we were on deck 6 and there was no noise from the parade or any other time. Enjoyed watching the parade but the rooms are smaller than a balcony room.

We were in PR 7281 and heard the "thump, thump" of the bass into the wee hours. We were across from and about 2 cabins from Wig & Gavel.

The only noise will be from people in the hallway, not from the promenade. Deck eight is three decks above the promenade.

We were in a prominade room last Sept. on the Mariner - we really enjoyed and were totally amazed at how quiet the room was.

 

We are planning on booking another prominade view room for our cruise in Feb. -
