Drink packages on CELEBRITY ?

Does anyone have any idea when CELEBRITY will implement the drink packages ?

 

I e-mailed them last week and so far no reply.

They had announced they were coming this fall, so hopefully it will be within the next few weeks (or at last in time for my December 4th cruise)! :)

 

Maybe somebody will post with some inside information.

What are the new drink packages????

The documents for our cruise next week mention that the Celebrity gifts brochure was effective through mid October when a new program will be released. I would expect the drink packages to be rolled out at the same time with their new gift orders since their earlier press release said they would be available in the fall.

Just off the phone with a CC Rep and they said mid October info would be available. She stated they were still working on the prices of different pkges and they were gettting swamped with calls about the rollout..

I am not sure what a drink package is.......can someone enlighten me? I am assuming it is one price for all your drinks on the cruise? Similar to the soda card, but a "bit" more expensive.

The wording in the Captain's Club newsletter is as follows:

 

"Being relaxed on vacation means enjoying the convenience

of prearranging your preferences, such as beverages,

prior to setting sail. And thanks to a new capability

coming later this year from CelebrityCruises.com,

you’ll be able to go online and choose from a number of

I attempted to contact Celebrity last week but have not heard back yet. GaryNFLA's info is encouraging.

I did notice the wording only says that the availability to order the packages online would be available in late 2009, so I'm hoping the packages themselves will be available on the ship as well, as I have a 12/20/09 sailing.

I will post if I hear anything solid from Celebrity.
