GOIN2C Posted September 20, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2009 El Yunque rain forest How hard is the walk on the tour through the rain forest. Should you take the tour if you have a little trouble walking. Is it worth the trip?
wannagoagain Posted September 22, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2009 We did the walk to the waterfall. Would not recommend if you have trouble walking. It is 100% uphill coming out. That said, swimming in the waterfall is awesome but be careful of the bottom, easy to slip, all rocky and deep in spots.
RigleysMommy Posted September 23, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2009 I would also agree that doing the Rain Forest if you have trouble walking would not be a good idea. It's pretty steep and slippery in some spots - totally amazing if you're steady on your feet but not for those with walking challenges - that being said, we had the most amazing tour guide in San Juan and he was willing to take you anywhere you like for the whole day for $50 per person. He could drive you through the Rain Forest and let you get out where it's flat....I totally recommend him. His name is Albert Aguirre and he can be reached at surfcabs@yahoo.com or (787)317-6907. He really was amazing.
