Another first time cruiser question!

Do they let you take drinks onboard[wine from duty free or bought in local shop]?

sister in law went with Royal Carib. and that line wouldnt allow you to!

Any other tips on Thomson Destiny cruise would be most appreciated.

Getting excited and nervous at the same time, only 2weeks away.

Yes, you are allowed to take drink on board (for consumption in your cabin) also any purchase of alcohol from the duty free shop you are allowed take away with you - unlike some cruises lines, it isn't 'saved' for you until the end of your cruise!

It's difficult to advise in general terms - but if you can think of specific questions I'm sure members on here will help if they can. You can also try the search tool at the top right of the table - type in a key word in the 'Search this Forum' box and threads which contain the reference will be displayed. E.g. 'Booking cabins' would throw up recent discussions on that topic.

It's all a case of the 'unknown' before you go (we've all been there!), but everything slots into place very quickly and the organisation getting you on board and 'processed' has been excellent in our experience . The Cruise News you get each evening tells you about everything going on during the next day and the Destinations Guide, which will be in your cabin on arrival, has all the info on ship's trips. The Destination Services staff have been absolutely brilliant on our recent trips having loads of info on the ports of call and going out of their way to help with advice on DiY options too. I'm sure you'll have a great time!
