When are formal nights?

You can't find out for sure in advance (we can make educated guesses based on the itinerary, but that's really all they are -- for a 7-dayer, usually the day after embarkation and the second to last night of the cruise); however, you can find out when you get aboard as you'll find in your cabin a Planner for the entire cruise which will list the dress code and entertainment for each evening, so you'll be able to see at a glance what nights are formal. Hope this helps.

You should know that the formal night can change. We were on the Sapphire southbound from Alaska about 3 weeks ago in a 7 day cruise and the second formal night was changed mid-cruise to a day earlier than originally scheduled.

2- 6 days .. 1 formal night

7 - 13 days .. 2 formal nights

14 - 20 days .. 3 formal nights

21 - 28 days .. 4 formal nights

29+ days .. 5 formal nights

So it appears I'll have three formal nights on my 15-day cruise from FLL to SFO next spring.
