RunningDeer Posted October 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2009 What can we do for 8 hrs post cruise before our plane leaves JFK? We will have our bags of course. I do not want to sit in the airport for all that time! Our ship docks at Red Hook on a Sat.

cruiser429 Posted October 1, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 1, 2009 Isn't there an excursion from the cruiseline that will leave you off at the airport?
138east Posted October 2, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2009 How about taking a cab to Schwartz Travel in the west 30's, check your bags, wander around midtown for several hours (Macy's, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Empire State), pick up your bags and take a cab or car service to JFK? I think the cab fare to JFK is a fixed rate, so the only extra is the cab from the Brooklyn pier to Manhattan and the baggage check fee.
RunningDeer Posted October 2, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted October 2, 2009 What a great idea....138east! I didn't even know such a service existed! Thank you so much for responding! And I had thought of a tour from the cruise line but they don't offer anything.
