Harrison's Cave Closure

Just wanted to update everyone regarding the closure of Harrison's Cave and reopening. I sent an email asking when they would reopen since we will be in Barbados in December and their response was that they don't expect to reopen until December 31st. (it was previously December 15th)

 

Too bad since this is the second year in a row where I wanted to see the caves and they were closed both times. :(

Wife and I passed thru the complex a few weeks ago, to see what was going ON. :eek:

 

They are doing HUGE renovations to the whole thing.

 

Looks like they're abandoning the old complex down in the gully

and making a whole new,much roomier one on top the cliff nearby

and sinking elevator shafts over the side of the cliff and down!

I think I saw three shafts..

 

Looks like they're spending millions,

but it should be really nice and slick when they're done!
