Mike- I don't know about Oct- should think it's like any seaside resort in the UK- same sort of weather etc. I enjoyed it enough for 1/2 day in July.....shops, beachfront cafes etc. Sunday may be a bit closed down. There must be some all-year ferry cruisers who've been?- jocap.

Hi Mike,

We were there off of Oceana on 4th October. The weather was lovely and sunny but with a cool stiff breeze off the North Sea. Great if you like a bracing walk along the seafront.

Some shops were open, others closed. Couple of nice churches to look around if you like that sort of thing. There is also a Marina but we were not aware of that until we saw free maps on the shuttle on the way back .

It looked like most of the restaurants were open if you fancy lunch there and - of course - all the chocolate shops were open and doing a roaring trade.

Personally, I would say that it is worth going there for a wander around on a pleasant day but if its raining cats & dogs, stay on board and enjoy the ship's facilities.

Hope that helps.
