Anyone sail 4th of July?

Recommended Posts

We sailed on Monarch of the Seas this past 4th. The centrum area was nicely decorated, and a large sheet cake decorated as a flag was placed there to share with passengers. There were also some activities and menu items in the Windjamer to celebrate.

The only thing missing was fireworks after dark.

Since the ship isn't American, and Independance Day is an American holiday, don't expect too much!

I disagree. When we were on Monarch over the 4th, we thought the ship did a fabulous job decorating. More than we saw for Easter. They had balloons all over the place, banners running up/down the banisters and around the railings on the various floors. They also had banners in Windjammer.

Then as the other poster said, they had a huge flag cake down in the centrum. It was really pretty.

We thought they really did a great job on it.

To top it off, being in Nassau late, we saw spectacular fireworks that the Atlantis and Wyndam shot off. All in all one of the better 4ths we have had.
