Am i correct a taxi from airport to city is about 20 euros??Should we get euros at airport or do they take dollars/credit card??

A taxi from the airport to central Athens will cost about 35 Euros. Get your Euros at an ATM at the airport; several are available there. The taxis will not take dollars or credit cards.

 

An alternative is the metro from the airport, which runs every 30 minutes and costs six Euros per person, or the X95 express bus, which runs 24/7 about every 15 minutes for 3.20 Euros per person, ending at Syntagma Square.

 

A taxi from central Athens to the cruise ship terminal at Piraeus port will cost a tourist from 20 to 25 Euros; he will not use his meter. (A Greek will get the same seven-mile ride for about 12 Euros!) It's about a 20 minute ride.
