snorkelman Posted October 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2009 Travelocity has just published the results of a new and interesting travel survey. As a parent I am pleased to see this poll and I think it will be a big eye-opener to many other parents. The relevant stuf starts around page 9 http://i.travelpn.com.edgesuite.net/images/graphics_prod/pdf/2009_Rudeness-Poll.pdf
EricaLovesCats Posted October 13, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2009 That was a very interesting survey! I'm new to the family world...I'm pregnant with our first and the baby will be 1 year old when we go on our next cruise (March 2011 is so far away...ugg). I am definitely remembering everything from my "childless" days and hope to show respect to others around me. I see no problem with taking a screaming child out of the dining room (or wherever) and going back to my cabin. Husband can bring me my food or I can order room service. I would certainly never put my diapered kid in the ship's pool, never let my child run around unattended, and I would clean up after them (Ive seen parents walk away after their kids have peed on the floor or thrown their cheerios all over the hallway!) SelectSys Posted October 14, 2009 #5 Share Posted October 14, 2009 If I am clueless, how do I know if I am being rude? I do find it somewhat interesting that 40%+ of respondents say that airlines should provide a 2nd seat to large passengers at no cost. KingoftheQueens Posted October 19, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 19, 2009 If I am clueless, how do I know if I am being rude? I do find it somewhat interesting that 40%+ of respondents say that airlines should provide a 2nd seat to large passengers at no cost. On that basis, as a slim gent I would expect a fifty percent discount on my airfare... Pip-Pip!
