Uh oh, what happened, might I ask? We sail on Thursday and were planning to see how the karaoke goes... ???

My aunt signed up to sing very early in the evening, but when she signed up, she told him she wasn't doing the dancing act Jay makes everyone do before they sing - she just wanted to sing. We sat in the karaoke bar for over an hour waiting for her turn (never even left the room for a restroom break), and after watching several people go up more than once, she went to check on her name. It had been crossed out. When she asked why, he just shrugged his shoulders and walked off. No karaoke for us as long as he's running it.

We received a letter the night before under our door with instructions to meet at 10:30 at guest relations to be escorted off and walked (escorted they said) through customs and right back on board. ....or..... you could just go through customs on your own and go into Galveston and come back through the VIP line when you were ready to re-board(by showing your old sign & sail card)and check in on your own.

Now, this is where things changed for us! The morning after arriving in Galveston , we were in a delayed mode due to bad weather and the crew participating in a drill. First off, my DW had a migraine headache immediately that morning and was holed up in the cabin. I called down to see what time we should meet and was told it would be later than expected and to come about 11:00. .In the meantime ,I had gone down to the nurse and got DW some meds for her migraine. The nurse ordered a wheelchair for DW and a very sweet attendant came to our cabin to assist her. When we got to guest services, we were met by a man there there that indignantly said,"what are you doing here, you're supposed to be off the ship...go to deck 3 and exit" I firmly explained the situation to him and he backed right off and made a call to embarkation crew to expect us. We went through customs with our sweet gal pushing the wheelchair, and exited the terminal and re-entered.We then went through VIP and I checked us in again while DW was taken to an office where I joined her for about 45 minutes until the ship was cleared for boarding. We were the first on, and we went straight back to our cabin and my DW went straight to bed.

She felt better by about 5pm, so I bought her a massage to ease all the tension of her day.We skipped dining in MDR and I brought food down from Lido. The nest day at sea was beautiful and we relaxed by the pool ALL day!

Is this standard procedure for a B2B? I read some reviews where you did not have to go through the terminal check-in all over again. It was all done onboard...or so they said. I've got a B2B booked next year, and can't wait! Thanks for your review.

Guess that's why I never saw you after the first day. :o We had a bad experience with Jay in April and I have no desire to see karaoke as long as he's running it.

Glad you guys enjoyed it, though! :)

Wow, i was on the boat last month when Jay was running the karaoke, and i believe that he is the asset of Carnival, lounge is packed every night. He was the hi-light of our cruise and would love to see him again. And i can't believe that you are taking karaoke very seriously, you have to understand that what he is doing is hard, he did a fantastic job running the karaoke, the trip is gonna be ****ty without him. imagine dealing with a lot of people that are drunk and can't sing?

You Rock Jay, my Asian Brother..... My name is also Jay....Greetings from Austin..

All you really have to say about Jay is, "Absolutely Brilliant!" Truthfully, lots of people don't "get" Jay and I understand why. He seems to be perhaps 'high strung' and likes things his way. But the guy is FUNNY! :)

Thanks for the pics. It looks like the Estascy has aft balcony's, is that the case? I thought this ship only had the suite balcony's mid ship.

I was on the B2B on Triumph and we were in port with Ecstasy a lot. Here is a good pic of the Ecstasy pulling away where you can see the new balconies added on. They were added to the outside of the hull to cabins that used to be OVs.

In Cozumel, the first cruise we just shopped at the pier area and bought vanilla for friends at home, and a few other clothing items we just couldn’t resist, then headed down to Panchos Backyard and layed out in their deck chairs in the beach area there and let the seniorita wait on us and actually took a little nap…wonderful!!

Would you mind expanding on your time at Panchos? Is there a new location on the beach? The only Panchos we've ever gone to is located at the Los Cinco Soles location.
