Boarding time in Caribbean

I know the docs for the December 10 Odyssey Caribbean sailing say boarding time is 1:30 but, though that may be the official time, do you think people can board earlier? What has been your experience?

Thanks!

You may be able to board earlier, but they will likely escort you to the lounge to wait for check-in. Rarely do they start check-in much before the stated time, as they wish to have all of the cabins ready. I wouldn't even try to board before noon.

Of course, seated in the lounge with finger foods and beverages isn't half-bad. :D

N0 luncheon. sandwiches, snacks and champagne/drinks are served in the lounge. Since boarding time is officially 2PM or so I guess it's too late for lunch.

Please clarify. Do you mean all of the above are not served, or just luncheon is not served?

We are on the November 14th sailing and our plan is to arrive in Ft. Lauderdale the day before and then, on the Saturday morning, lazy breakfast, do some shopping, light lunch and then head to the ship. I don't really see the point of trying to get on early.
