WendyVF Posted October 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2009 I've read somewhere that there is free WiFi in the Ft. Lauderdale airport but can't confirm it. Does anyone know for sure? We've got a long wait for our flight and will lug two laptops for entertainment if this is the case. Thanks!

WendyVF Posted October 29, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted October 29, 2009 Thank you. At least I can catch up on e-mails while we're waiting on our flight.
Ft. Lauderdale Native Posted October 30, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 30, 2009 I've read somewhere that there is free WiFi in the Ft. Lauderdale airport but can't confirm it. Does anyone know for sure? We've got a long wait for our flight and will lug two laptops for entertainment if this is the case. Thanks! Yes, and it works well too. The only prob you might have is finding a seat with an electrical outlet close by
alicam Posted October 30, 2009 #5 Share Posted October 30, 2009 It is quite free, but as was stated before...electrical outlets are few and far between
Langley Cruisers Posted October 31, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 31, 2009 Charge your laptop in your room prior to going to the airport. That`s what we did - no need for outlet. :) FLL is a cute little airport. Be sure to buy some yummy Key Lime Coconut patties in the store before going home! They make great gifts. :)
WendyVF Posted November 1, 2009 Author #7 Share Posted November 1, 2009 I checked it out when we landed yesterday. The Southwest terminal has a bunch of round seating sections with outlets at each seat. I'll try to remember to throw my powerstrip in my carry on when we pack up. jjb415 Posted November 2, 2009 #8 Share Posted November 2, 2009 It is quite free, but as was stated before...electrical outlets are few and far between I guess I got lucky by sitting by an outlet !! :) Just in case anybody is headed to San Diego, Portland, Las Vegas, or Vancouver, the wifi is free in those airports too !! Let us hope more cities jump on that bandwagon too.
