Wrist bands for motion sickness

I am prepared for sea sickness on any ship/boat that I step foot on. I start taking Bonine about three days before sailing to get it in my system and take one each day of the cruise before bedtime. I also have in my stash the seabands but I can't wear them for very long as they make my hands swell and hurt. I have the adult ones and I have small wrists so I don't know why it does that though they do feel tight. I may want to try the adjustable ones.
