Ft. Lauderdale Transportation

I've never flown into Ft. Lauderdale for a cruise and want to know how far to the pier and will we have a problem getting a taxi. We're 4 women, with one large piece of luggage each and a carryon. Do they have taxi vans which can accommodate all of us or will we need 2 cabs?

The port is about 1 or 2 miles from the airport. It's very easy getting a cab to the port. The bad thing is leaving Fll. The airport is not equipt to handle all the passangers that now go through the port on weekends.

Taxis are plentiful and you might be able to snag a van. If not, two taxis won't break the bank ... about a $12-17 trip.

It is easy to find a cab. The cost was 18 since there are so many lights which eat away cab time which = more money paid.
