Stelladoro Posted November 4, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2009 After our cruise from Sydney to Honolulu, I need to book flight home on AirCanada to Toronto, via Vancouver. I assume we'll have to retrieve our luggage and clear Canada Customs in Vancouver. How much time should we allow before boarding flight in Vancouver to Toronto? Luckily, there are several daily flights.
Twickenham Posted November 4, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2009 Do you have to go on AC? The reason I ask is by putting a purely random date in ITA, the best price I got was on United via ORD or LAX. Going with a stop in the US means you clear customs at your final destination - YYZ - rather than en route in YVR.
Stelladoro Posted November 4, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted November 4, 2009 Twickenham, thanks for your response. No, we don't have to fly AC. Plan to book flights from YYZ to LAX and Honolulu to YYZ using our credit card points. We're flying to LA on March 11th (for our flight to Auckland on March 13th which has been already booked), and returning from Honolulu likely on May 6th ( exact return date not yet confirmed). Prefer ORD to LAX for stop in the US.
