Upgrade Fairy is Alive

:) Just checked on the cruise personlizer and discovered that we have been upgraded from a BD balcony stateroom on Baja deck to an AB balcony mini-suite on Dolphin on the Star Princess that sails tommorrow. I have no clue as to why we are so fortunate, but we certainly are not complaining.

Don't know if it means anything or not, but the only two times we have been upgraded in 9 cruises is when we booked through a travel agent rather than through the cruise line directly.

So for all of you wishing for an upgrade, don't give up hope, there is still a chance, even at the 11th hour.

I was wondering if ther earlier you book the better your chances of being upgraded. Has anyone booked at the last minute and recieved an upgrade?

congratulations on your upgrade! Did you book a "guarantee", or did you book a particular cabin? The one time I received an upgrade we had been booked into a "guarantee". This time we have booked a specific cabin and wondered if the upgrade fairy could visit us? ;)
