CanWeGoYet? Posted November 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2009 I've noticed on the Eastern Caribbean cruise I've booked, a travel site I use to follow prices only lists guarantee suites for booking. Just wondering why Carnival would offer this category only. If a suite is available, why not list it's location and be able to book it at a higher rate. Would this mean all suites are currently booked and they are wanting to keep their options open in case of cancellations?
firefly333 Posted November 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2009 Are you past final payment? Might the cruise suites be getting close to being sold out? Lots of variables.

Most online sites list the cheapest cabin prices to get you interested. Once you call and actually talk to them they will try to up-sale you to higher priced cabins. I would suggest that you take a look at the Carnival site or call a PVP direct to see what other options that you may have.
oceanseagle12 Posted November 5, 2009 #5 Share Posted November 5, 2009 Here is one possibility. If the price is lower than the other suites they have booked, this would be one way they could lower the price on the remaining suite(s) without having to honor early saver price reductions. CanWeGoYet? Posted November 5, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted November 5, 2009 I went to the carnival page and different categories of suites plus locations were listed - so it was just a travel**** site specific thing. I've just never seen this site not list different suite categories before.
serene56 Posted November 5, 2009 #7 Share Posted November 5, 2009 the travel site may have those suites in their own group for pricing and they are trying to unload it before the holidays
