It is the code by which your flight reservation is identified it is an alphanumeric code such as C48Y7Z (don't try it folks I altered it :D) and appears on your reservation. My confirmation number with Cathay Pacific is a letter and then 4 numbers (total of 5 alpha-numeric). Maybe this is why Princess says my flight numbers are invalid. lol!
