stanford's girl Posted November 15, 2009 #9 Share Posted November 15, 2009 Just got off the Ruby yesterday and the Head Waiter in the Botticelli dining room is Francisco and he was absolutely fantastic!! I have taken 11 cruises on other lines and this is the 1st time that our head waiter visited the table every night and made us special goodies to try each night. In the past, we have only seen the Head Waiter on the last night looking for a tip.
FritzG Posted November 15, 2009 #10 Share Posted November 15, 2009 Which means both should be aboard for our April cruise (s). Good news. I can't remember who the maitre d' was in the main dining room, but he was very personal and visible. He came to our table each night to say hello and ask if everything was ok. Now we can only hope and pray that Capt. Yeomans will be taking us across the Atlantic. I've sailed with him on our last 3 cruises, and we've just come to expect that he'll be our captain. Carolyn R Posted November 15, 2009 #20 Share Posted November 15, 2009 Jan was in the AT DR (think the Michaleangelo, I should know it was where we always ate) he was absolutely wonderful, the first HW we have ever tipped for otstanding serviceTerry Ditto, we got hooked on the Michelangelo dining room with Jan (pronounced Yon) early on during our Ruby transatlantic this fall. You are in for a treat. We connected with a smile and a compliment and we, two single 60ish ladies, were treated like royalty, being personally escorted to our table, etc. After a few nights, people were asking who we were. It was fun and very funny. We loved Jan! :p
