Mosquitoes in SE Asia in June?

In Singapore it is relatively free in the city but if you are going around the outskirts like the Zoo or botanical gardens then use repellant. In Malaysia mosquitoes are all over the place and it rains every day mainly in the evenings for about an hour or so. Repellant is a must. The mosquitoes there carry Dengue Fever which is even worst than Malaria.
