Maps of Grand Caymen & Cozumel?

We will be on the Valor in March and have not planned excursions for Grand Caymen or Cozumel. Thought we would just take our own snorkel gear and play it by ear. Is there anywhere we could get a good map of these areas that show all the great beaches?

Get yourself a guidebook on your ports...they have maps, and can steer you to the best beach to suit your needs! A bit of research goes a long way!

The book will tell you the best way to get there, what it will cost, distances, where food, drink, restrooms, rentals are...everything!

Libraries have them, and so do bookstores!

When yo arrive in the port, there is usually a tourist desk in the terminal. They have maps.

Grand Cayman - great for driving around, you can rent a car at a reasonable rate (just remember they drive on the left) and head all the way around the Island. There are several places to stop and just snorkel from the road. If you are very adventurous, head all the way to Rum Point - its lovely and worth the trip.

 

Cozumel, is crazy driving in my opinion. You could just go to a few of the areas and snorkel. We like to go to Paradise Beach spend the day hanging out and they will even have a snorkel trip planned for you....

Grand Cayman is really easy. Hop in a taxi or a bus (a minivan) and go to Seven Mile Beach. If you go to Royal Palms, you can get a chair, and use their facilities. The water is beautiful and there is great snorkeling. We stayed at a condo a bit down the beach from there for a week, and snorkeled every day. We had great luck around the boat markers (dingys?). Have a great time!!!

Yep, just ordered it for my store. Have had difficulties in the past trying to get maps of the Caymans. (Very limited market, most people who visit already have the trips planned, either by the dive shops or the excursions, or the resorts. With a population of less than 50000 people, there just is not a market)

 

For Cozumel, any of the Yucatan maps work well. But I have found the on line versions of Cozumel are the best. (again because of nature of the island. There is a limited amount of island and limited population. those that stay there also often visit the mainland. That is why the Yucatan Maps seem to work the best)

 

And as you can see by my name, I own a map store and am familiar with most of the maps available for the caribbean.
