Well here we go, we leave tomorrow from Independence, MO for Oklahoma City, Albuquerque, Phoenix and finally San Pedro on Saturday at the Crown Plaza. We'll be in our little Hyundai Elantra getting about 34 mpg. I would have preferred taking the fire breathing Dodge Ram Diesel, but the 12 to 14 extra mpg won out. I preplanned the route with Price Line and saved a bundle in hotels. Since we are retired there is no need to rush, we usually do about 6 hours a day, however we have about a nine hour day on the second leg from OK City to Albuquerque. See y'all Sunday or Monday at the M & G.
