Rare teacherman Posted December 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2009 We are looking at a B2B next September on RCCL. Itinerary says ship arrives at "Ballantine Pier" but later that day leaves from "Canada Place". Is this the same pier?

scottbee Posted December 7, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 7, 2009 We are looking at a B2B next September on RCCL. Itinerary says ship arrives at "Ballantine Pier" but later that day leaves from "Canada Place". Is this the same pier? No, they're different piers; Ballantyne is about 1½ miles east of Canada Place (which is right downtown). map: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=100934763039761071004.000467645fcda21dd87b2&ll=49.285891,-123.099146&spn=0.016376,0.045447&z=15 However, while RCCL mostly operate into Ballantyne during the year, it seems highly unlikely to me they'd move the ship mid-day. Most of the time RCCL's repo cruises do dock at Canada Place, it's only the weeklies that dock at Ballantyne. I would keep an eye on the Vancouver Port Authority Cruise Calendar next year and see where it's really docking. Worst case scenario, it's a $10 cab ride between piers.
