Sun BD Aft Balconies

Hi Helpful Fellow Cruisers!

Another Sun aft baclony question... We've done some searching but can't seem to find the specific answer we are looking for...

We are looking to book an aft BD on the Sun. We currently have 9275, on the side, very aft with a wrap-around balcony. Does this cabin actually wrap around far enough to allow one to look down at the wake, close to the ship?

We like the fact that there is a larger balcony with this cabin, but will we still have the real "aft feeling" from this particualr cabin?

Any input will be appreciated!

We love the aft!

Thanks!

Thanks for ther response Biker@Sea!

We are aware that the cabins you mention are directly in the aft, so for certain, no question, we could see the wake from those cabins.

After doing some investigation though, we have learned that cabins in the location of 9275 and 9075 have a wrap-around balcony that is 85 sq ft instead of the standard 48 sq ft balcony for other cabins (including those you have mentioned) in this catagory. We like the added space for the balcony.

At this point we are trying to decide... do we want a larger balcony and possibly lose the advantage of having the wake right below us? If someone knows if we can see the wake directly behind the ship from this cabin, then it's a "no brainer" - no need to switch. But if the balcony doesn't go far enough around to see the wake as it leaves the ship, then we have to make a decision ;-)

Again, any info or input will be appreciated!

Thanks again!

No wrap around as you may think of it. We were on the Sun last Nov. in an aft cabin next to penthouse. The warp area is where the furniture pads can be put to be sheltered.

I have attached 2 pic that may better explain.

Thanks everyone for your input. Much appreciated!

We have switched to a "true" aft. We'll forego the larger balcony go for a real aft cabin at the stern. We love the wake and the wonderful view from the very back!

Happy Cruising to All!

Thanks!

Smart move enjoy!
