flutepilot Posted December 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2009 Hi gang, Somebody on another un-related (a flute mailing list) was told that a mac will not work on board RCCL ships. Is this true? I can't believe that a line would make their server not work with the *other* computer brand. Thanks in advance! Dan
HorrorFan Posted December 13, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2009 Its all the same technology. A mac will work fine. I can't imagine how or WHY they would 'make it not work.'
DetroitMark Posted December 13, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 13, 2009 Well their website certainly isn't all that Mac friendly. Most of the 360 software uses octet/stream which is a PC based platform for video. Quicktime doesn't convert it. So you don't get to see the 360o sweeps of the cabins on the web. scot1314 Posted December 13, 2009 #4 Share Posted December 13, 2009 I have used my Mac on the Navigator and the Enchantment with no problems. But I have read that Safari has problems. I didn't, but just in case I had Firefox on my mac. Hope this helps....:)

The website works perfectly on my MacBook Pro, although I do use Chrome and Firefox instead of Safari, which I've noticed doesn't cooperate properly with MANY websites.
