mapman_2004 Posted December 13, 2009 #5 Share Posted December 13, 2009 I agree! BUT, when did "just sayin'" become common? I heard some lame news show start using that. It drives me crazy.
firefly333 Posted December 13, 2009 #6 Share Posted December 13, 2009 Doesnt even appeal to me, not one bit :( I got off a B2B yesterday and drove a long drive home ... takes me a couple of weeks before the itch to cruise comes back
rigldbrg Posted December 13, 2009 #7 Share Posted December 13, 2009 This is the part of the year that we have about 5 days of sunshine over the next 4 months in Michigan. So, I'll be thinking "today is a great day to cruise" a lot over that time. You really have to like gray skies to live in Michigan. BTW, the 5 days that we do have sun are usually accompanied by sub zero (or close) temps.
Cambrensis Posted December 13, 2009 #8 Share Posted December 13, 2009 Yup ... I'd take a leaky dinghy and my worst enemy 'bout now, just so long as the sun is shinin', the boat is rockin ' (a little), and there's a cool drink in my hand .. well, that and a fully equipped Carnival cruise ship .... Drew B Posted December 13, 2009 #14 Share Posted December 13, 2009 I was thinking the same thing. I was at the vet this morning and a family came in to drop off their dog for boarding for a week because they are sailing the Splendor today. I was SOOO jealous! hill6 Posted December 13, 2009 #15 Share Posted December 13, 2009 Just about any day is a good day to be cruising. My dad returns tomorrow from his 10 night cruise on the Equinox. My father in law sailed on the Miracle right after Thanksgiving. Only 153 days till the Miracle.

Socref124 Posted December 14, 2009 #23 Share Posted December 14, 2009 I'd settle for going from one side of the Allegheny to the other... Hi Ya Jon. Remember the bridge to nowhere? It got you half way across the Allegheny for quite a number of years before they finally finished it.:)

Yes indeed I stand corrected! Lived there while at Pitt for about 4 years -- over 25 years ago! Couldn't keep all those winding streets straight either, then or now, but loved that when you get lost, usually you just wander around a bit til you see something familiar. Being male, I wouldn't think of asking directions!:)
bbiggar Posted December 14, 2009 #25 Share Posted December 14, 2009 I agree a good day to cruise since we have ice on the streets and over a foot of snow from Blizzard Allison last week. :(
