moniquet Posted December 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2009 We are due to fly out to Tampa with British Airways on 2nd JAN to join our cruise on 3rd Jan. They have a strike planned for the 2nd, all other airlines are full, except for 1st class at about £4500:eek:. Hoping the strike will be called off but who knows:mad: Anyone else affected.? 6rugrats Posted December 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2009 Strike has been ruled illegal: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8418805.stm Will they take another vote or strike anyway? Who knows?
patseacruiser Posted December 17, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 17, 2009 I don't know if they'll strike or not but I flew out of Philadelphia one day when they were on a slow down. Luckily my flight was 11am but we couldn't sleep so we ended up going to the airport at 6:30 am. We figured we'd just go check in and sit and eat breakfast and chat. Lucky for us - no one on the line in front of us made their flights. I felt terrible for the honeymooners in front of us who were 2 hours early for their flight - they missed it. We just about got to the gate and they were boarding. I know - long story even longer - but my advice is get there in plenty of time if they decide to have a slow down.
