walking distance

Hi there, we were wondering how far it is to walk from Holiday Inn Convention center to the pier.We are sailing on the equinox.Also would they let you.Thanks.

I do not believe they allow foot traffic into the port. Even if they did, it would be quite a long walk from your hotel to the ship, especially hauling luggage. A taxi should cost around $10. There is a shuttle, but it's $8 per person.

Don't even try to walk. It is a huge commercial port and you need to walk over a very busy bridge from the mainland before you even get near the cruise ship pier area. It is only a 10.00 cab ride. Up to 4 people.

I agree---the port is very industrial...not really safe for pedestrians.

I agree with everyone else. The ships are pretty far into the port and

it is really not safe for pedestrians. Remember it is not just cruiseships

but barges are in there too.
