Midship Plaza Cabin VS. Higher Deck Foreward

We just booked on the Infinity for Aug. Wanted an Outside Cabin but the choices were getting limited. We chose cabin 3087 which is about 7 cabins away from the midship action. The other choices were on higher decks but all were way up at the front of the ship. T.A. reccommended this one over the others. Is this a good choice, or will there be too much noise from the people going to the U.S. Restaurant, Wine Room, etc.? Also will the people (other then people in our cabin section) walk by our rooms to get to the Celebrity Showroom? First Celebrity Cruise for us. Appreciate any input. :)

It depends if you are the type that motion disturbs you.

I find I need to be midship or back, as the rocking near the front of the boat bothers me. You can always book the Plaza deck cabin and see if anything open up. Once final payments are due sometimes cabins become available

You shouldn't have foot traffic from people going to the showroom since there is no entrance to the showroom on your deck. The 2 entrances are on decks 4 and 5. I see you are underneath the Casino. It is carpeted so you shouldn't hear walking above you, but I don't know if you would hear the other noise generated by the machines.

I sure hope not, as that would really spoil my sleep to hear the bells and whistles of slots! :( Surely it would be hard to book these cabins if that were true, but I will ask my TA to check. She did check regarding possible noise from the activities down the hall towards the US Restaurant, and was told that was not a problem. But would the Celebrity people be honest in their answers?

Thanks Char for the other info. :)

Jezzdogg- Neither one of us are prone to seasickness, but I do not necessarily want more than average rockin and rollin. So it looks like I have to weigh noise over excess rocking huh? Good idea about checking for other cabins that might open up. :)

On the m-class ships, that's our favourite location. It's quiet and being mid-ship and a lower floor, you are less likely to feel the motion. Also...very important....taking all those stairs so many times a day really helps the weight situation!!!!!!

:D Renorita, your TA is right. The midship cabin on the Plaza deck is absolutely ideal for quiet, as well as a comfortable "ride" if seas get rocky. We usually opt for that location on M class and C class ships, if we can get it. Another poster mentioned the stairs; how true that taking the stairs can cover a multitude of dessert sins!

Thanks Everyone, sounds good; We try to use the stairs as much as possible, for the reasons mentioned above, :D so think we will just stay put! Another question, and I may have to go to Celebrity for this answer. We are going on a 6 night, North Pacific Cruise Starting from Vancouver, Victoria, Greys Harbor, Astoria, overnight in S.F., then disembarking there the next day. I have been hearing this is a new itinerary, and being the odd 6 nights, I am wondering how many Formal nights they will have? Or do they even have formal nights on Cruise's less than 7 days?
