We stayed there pre cruise last April ( Easter week). There were a ton of kids. There's a game room, and the pools are great. Theres a spa just off the terrace. The beach is nothing to write home about, there was a strip of seaweed you had to wade thru in order to swim, and it is a public beach- not that really matters though. Try to get a garden/ water view, It's close enough to the airport approach, so if you're in a street view room you may hear the planes. Overall, it's a very nice hotel.

A group of us stayed at the IC in October. Truly enjoyed the property. Very well maintained. The beach was lovely and we were swimming at 8AM. No seaweed when we were there. Pool is lovely. Checking in and out can be a bit frenetic at high volume times. They have many personnel about to help with questions. Overall, very pleased and would stay there again in a heartbeat!

You will enjoy the Caribe Hilton. My wife and I stayed there for our pre and post cruise stay before. The pool is gorgeous and there is a swim-up bar section where you can sip your cocktail from a seat submerged in water at the bar. The pool bar staff are pretty friendly. You can charge it to your room or pay cash at the bar. The retaurants are decent, but we chose to eat down in the Isla Verde section of New San Juan. There is a great Japanese restaurant (Hibachi Style) at the IC. It is awsome. There is a lounge bar just outside the restaurant down the sidewalk. The rooms at the Caribe are basically standard, unless you request an upgrade. The longe bar in the main lobby is fun and the lobby is wide open. Say hello to the pretty parrots thay have there in cages in the lobby. Oh, we didn;t indulge in the private beach area. The water didn't seem as clear or clean. They also have life size chess outside near the pool area. You will enjoy it.
