Cold on the Triumph??

I read some reviews from awhile back that indicated that the Triumph was a cold ship. I assumed it was because it was doing the Canadian route at the time, but now I'm wondering.... For those of you who have sailed her recently from New Orleans, is it cold on the ship? In the Dining Room? In your cabin? Just trying to figure out how to pack!

Thank you!

I get cold very easily. To me it was a bit chilly in our room but not really cold. I never felt cold in the dining room. Coming back from Cozumel it was cold anywhere near a door. I just wore a light sweater that day and was fine. Also for dinner I wore a shawl over my shoulders and used it to cover up the rest of the night if I got chilly.

We are freezing here down in the Southeast right now!!!! So if you are sailing soon, make sure you bring jeans and a sweater for embarkation day and probably first and last sea day and debarkation day. I was on the 12/19 and it wasn't as cold then as it is now but I did need my zipper sweater and jeans until we got further south. I get cold easily so I just asked my room steward how to turn off the air in the room when I got cold and she showed me ( the circular thing on the ceiling that has a lever). I didn't get cold in the MDR like I though- but I did bring a shawl just in case.

wish i would of had my husband take a picture of me the last day at sea on the triumph (dec 18th) it was rough sea's and we just hung in the cabin. granted we could of turned the air up, but i was in my clothes, a hooded jacket with the hood on and under the covers (still cold).

once you clear this cold weather here, it will be warmer outside, but the air is on everywhere.

It was freezing in New Orleans, a cold snap Dec 2nd, and we left Dec 3rd cold and rainy. It was only up to 48 degrees by breakfast time the next morning onboard.

Just a unusually cold cruise. Iv never been that cold on Ecstasy leaving in January as I was leaving out of New Orleans.

I was on the Triumph over Christmas. Froze in the Casino bar, but loved Brian and his Rockin' Guitar so wore a jacket. Was comfortable in the Lower London Dining Room. Froze in the bottom level of the Rome Lounge, but it was actually HOT on the upper level of the same Lounge. Our inside cabin temp was totally regulated by us. Lever to the right, cool air, lever to the left - no air. All the other places I hung out totally depended on the weather as I was on the Lido deck most of the time. The back pool area is perfect for chilly days at sea as they close the roof overhead - sun, but no wind! I had also heard the ship was cold and was prepared to drag the cabin's blanket out to the public areas to be comfortable (cuz I hate being cold) but that was totally not necessary. Enjoy!

Was on the Triumph Christmas sailing and the cabin was cold the first evening. We looked all over for a thermostat with no luck. Called the front desk and was advised that the thermostats are on the ceiling. There are 2 of them. The cabin steward must have set them at full blast. We adjusted the AC and had no problems after that.
