Easter Sunday, 2010

Our ship will be in Barbados on Easter Sunday. What, if anything, will be open? Stores? Places like the Boatyard or Lobster Alive? Just want to get an idea of what to expect.

I know Harrison Caves is closed.

Shops in the town will definitely be closed

(except maybe a few in the cruise terminal,but NO promises there either)

but beach activities like Lobster Alive, Boatyard, taxis etc. will be up and running.

Boatyard, lobster alive will be open and maybe the stores in port...other than that not much else will be open.

 

Sundays and religious holidays are strictly observed for the most part on the island.

We were there Easter Sunday this year. The shops in port were all open, everything else looked to be closed. We spent the day at Lobster Alive on Carlisle Beach and had a great day there. Getting a taxi was not a problem at all. Have fun!
