Transfers from dock in singapore to hotel

We will be on the Sydney to Singapore Sector of the Arcadia World Cruise arriving in Singapore on 20 March. We have booked 3 nights in a Singapore Hotel after our cruise and were investigating booking a private transfer to our hotel from the port in Singapore but have concluded that, as we don't know at what time we will leave the ship, or in fact, where the ship will actually dock (P&O were unable to give specific information) we have concluded that our best option is to book a taxi on the spot. The only problem is because we'll have 2 very large suitcases plus 2 smaller ones and a collapsible wheelchair, the normal sedan car would not be big enough. So can anyone advise us if we would be able to book a people carrier type taxi at either the Container port or the Cruise terminal in Singapore. Presumably there will be porters at whichever terminal to help us to a taxi. Any information would be much appreciated.

Hi, in 2006 we disembarked Oriana in Singapore and also joined her in Singapore in 2008. Both times the ship was out at the container terminal. Ship ran buses for transit and disembarking passengers into the Cruise terminal where there were several taxis waiting. Taxis in Singapore a very cheap and as we were a group of 4 and had several cases we got a mini bus taxi with plenty of room in the back for the cases which was only a bit more than a normal car type taxi. Most of the hotels in Singapore are not far from the Cruise terminal. Hope this helps a bit,
