Bringing beer onboard embarkation

Hello all,

I should know the answer to this but I am unsure.

Can I bring beer onboard during embarkation (12 pack or so).

Or should I check it. Or will that show up on an xray??

Walk right on with it?

 

I know it says alcohol not permitted other than wine in the contract...but what are people's experiences?

Beer is on the banned list, but we rarely hear of Princess enforcing this rule. I would have in inside some luggage - checked or carry on. But be aware that you could be the lucky one and have Princess hold it till the end of your cruise.

Last May we carried on a 12 pk for dh along with my bottle of wine plus some cola. We also took on board some Alaskan Amber when the ship stopped in Ketchikan. We never had any problem.
